Hello & Welcome to The Gift of Grand!
This is a cozy little corner for grandparents or anyone with little ones in their lives to find fresh ideas and inspiration. Every two weeks will feature new activities to enjoy, recipes to share, books to snuggle up with, outfits, delightful discoveries, and perhaps even a grandparent’s tale or two.
Last May, when my oldest child got married, I reflected on how quickly time goes by, and how many of my friends and I are now embarking on a very different journey from where we've been for the past 20 years. From growing families and careers to empty nesting, coping with aging family members, and getting older ourselves, the focus has shifted, resulting in a need, at least for me, to regroup and reset some of my routines and priorities.
One happy new development during this time is seeing our families grow with the arrival of grandchildren. That's where the idea for The Gift of Grand began. Before I become a granny myself, I'm determined to get ahead of the game—to see what's new and how things have changed since I was a parent—so when the time comes, I'm prepared.
That’s what I’m hoping the focus of this community will be: sharing activities to enjoy together, book suggestions, interesting articles, outfits, and hopefully interviews and perspectives from grandparents and people with important little ones in their lives.
